چکیده

In cryptography, the pseudorandom number sequences must have random appearance to be used in secure information systems. The skew tent map (STM) is an attractive produce due its easy implementation and absence of stability islands when it chaotic behavior. Using STM sine function, we propose analyze a function composition generator (PRNG). analysis composition, use bifurcation diagram Lyapunov exponent perform behavioral comparison against STM. We show that proposed more sensitive initial conditions than STM, then better option for cryptography applications. For determine avoid chaos annulling traps. PRNG can configured generate numbers 8, 16 or 32 bits implemented on microcontrollers with different architectures. evaluate pseudorandomness using NIST SP 800-22 TestU01 suites. Additionally, quality, apply tests such as correlation coefficient, key sensitivity, statistical entropy analysis, space, linear complexity, speed. Finally, performed similar PRNGs considering 8 bits. results maintains security regardless selected configuration. has five important features: implementation, configurable bits, high processing speed, wide space. These features are necessary cryptographic

construction and validation of translation metacognitive strategy questionnaire and its application to translation quality

like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...

Empirical Pseudorandom Number Generators

The most common pseudorandom number generator or PRNG, the linear congruential generator or LCG, belongs to a whole class of rational congruential generators. These generators work by multiplicative congruential method for integers, which implements a ”grow-and-cut procedure”. We extend this concept to real numbers and call this the real congruence, which produces another class of random number...

Engineering Nonlinear Pseudorandom Number Generators

In the era of multi and many-core processors, computer simulations increasingly require parallel, small and fast pseudorandom number generation. Although linear generators lend themselves to a simpler evaluation that ensures favorable properties like guaranteed period, they may adversely affect the result of simulations or be quite large. Conversely, nonlinear generators may provide apparently ...

Evolving Cryptographic Pseudorandom Number Generators

Random number generators (RNGs) play an important role in many real-world applications. Besides true hardware RNGs, one important class are deterministic random number generators. Such generators do not possess the unpredictability of true RNGs, but still have a widespread usage. For a deterministic RNG to be used in cryptography, it needs to fulfill a number of conditions related to the speed,...
